I'm currently studying in University with the intention of getting a job as a software developer at the end of my education. I've already took steps by beginning the learning process a year of so before I even got into University. So, how did I know this was the career path for me?
I like to solve problems and this is, in my opinion the most important trait. I don't think you'd enjoy developing any software if you didn't like to solve a lot of problems! I also find it relaxing to program and enjoy learning about the constant introduction of new methods to do things or entirely new tech! The salary prospects aren't too bad either ;)
